Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How long does therapy take?
A: The length of therapy is specific to the individual. My clients generally feel some symptom relief within 3-6 months. If you are constrained due to finances, time or work, please let me know your desired timeframe and we will discuss how to most effectively use our time together to meet your goals.
Q: Who is involved in my therapy?
A: Your therapeutic hour is reserved for you and me. If you are interested in incorporating other individuals (family members, significant other, etc) and their involvement would benefit you clinically, let’s talk about what their involvement could look like.
Q: What if I need help outside of my session time?
A: I get it- life doesn’t stop. Because of this, I spend the first few sessions helping you identify supports and resources to manage your stress and anxiety outside of session. If something emergent arises, you can send me an email; however, please note I am not available 24/7 and I maintain my work to my business hours (m-f; 8am-4pm).
